My name is Sonia Bansal and I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Delaware. I teach at the undergraduate level and use active learning pedagogy to enhance student understanding.

Prior to moving to UD, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Hospital for Special Surgery in the Biomechanics Department under the guidance of Dr. Suzanne Maher and a T32 Fellow with the Cornell-HSS Center for Advanced Materials and Engineering in Orthopedics (CAMEO).

I got my PhD at the University of Pennsylvania and through the bioengineering department and under the supervision of my thesis advisor, Dr. Robert Mauck. My dissertation was focused on meniscus remodeling and large animal models.
